Well, here we are again! ( Lite Tackle Trip Bottom Fishing) When Garibaldi Charters called and invited us out for the Coho Fishing trip on the
D&D we jumped at the chance! Arriving at 5:30 to check-in at the office, then to the D&D where in a short time we were out on the ocean fishing for Coho salmon. There were 10 fishing and 2 crew
members. The fishing was good today. It was no time at all before someone had a fish on! Anglers are required to release all native Coho's and we released a lot of them. My two sons Nick &
Luke each released 4 native Coho. There were 16 keepers (adipose fin clipped Coho's). We dressed warm with lots of layers and by mid morning we had shed most of our layers. The only thing we forgot was to
pack a good lunch. Captain "Bob" likes to have a full quota of fish on board when he comes in. We stayed out until after 1pm (that's why I said pack a good lunch & bring something to drink). Tammy, the
bait girl did a great job helping us, netting our fish & cleaning them and seemed like a member of family by the end of the trip.
If you were on this trip with us please check out this page Coho trip 7 15 03 I tried to get everybodys picture on it. Thanks again Garibaldi Charters for another memorable experience!!!
